INVESTITURE CEREMONY
Students with leadership qualities are elected as School Pupil Leader, Assistant School Pupil Leaders, Secretaries and Joint Secretaries of Associations and House Captains. The investiture ceremony will be conducted in the month of June and the elected leaders will be entrusted with responsibilities.
SPORTS DAY
Sports Day is celebrated in a spectacular manner every year. There are four houses - Thrillers, Challengers, Defenders, Protectors. There is a healthy competition among the houses to win the overall championship trophy. Students prove their physical fitness by performing various drills.
BIRTHDAY OF THANTHAI PERIYAR
Thanthai Periyar's Birthday is celebrated on September 17th. Competitions on Periyar Thought are conducted and prizes are awarded.
FOUNDER'S DAY
Our founder Thanthai Periyar is fondly remembered every year by the celebration on Founder's Day. The following institutions located in Periyar Centenary Educational Complex take part in it:
AASIRIYAR'S BIRTHDAY
Our Chairperson Manamigu Dr. K.Veeramani's Birthday falls on December 2nd and it is celebrated by arranging different competitions and awarding prizes. Blood donation camp is arranged and many staff donates blood through the medical team from Head Quarters Govt. Hospital, Trichy.
SCIENCE EXHIBITION
Science Exhibition is conducted every year to develop the spirit of enquiry and scientific temper. Students participate with zeal and enthusiasm.
CONVOCATION
Every year, convocation is organized for upper kindergarten students in order to make them enter the primary section with confidence.
ANNUAL DAY
Annual Day is celebrated every year and prizes will be awarded to the Rank Holders and to the toppers in the Public Examination.
100th Day of KG Students :
To encourage the KG students, we celebrate 100th day for KG students every year. All the parents of KG students are invited and students along with teachers present variety of entertainment programmes. This celebration strengthens the relationship between Teachers - Students and Parents.
GRAND PARENTS DAY :
To motivate the kids to pay due respects to the Grand Parents and to reunite the Grand Parents with father and mother, we celebrate Grand Parents Day every year. All the Grand Parents are invited and the kids present them medal in appreciation of their care and affection Teachers and students present variety of programmes to entertain their Grand Parents. All the Grand Parents dance with their kids on the stage.
SILVER JUBILLE
Silver Jubilee was celebrated with the theme "Verify, Versatility, Victory" in 2003. PISA 2K3 - Periyar Interschool Amalgam - was organized in a grand manner. An interschool Science Exhibition competition, Quiz, Elocution and Dance competitions were conducted and many schools participated in it.
PEARL JUBILLE
Pearl Jubilee was celebrated in 2008 with the symbol of banyan tree which symbolically said that the school standing as a banyan tree will live for many more years branching out. The prime concern of the school is discipline. The education imparted with discipline will enable the students to emerge as responsible citizens
